If ever there were a couple that light up a room when they’re together, it’s Lauren & Sam. Their gorgeous summer wedding at Blake Hall was the dreamiest of days. Sandwiched between two days of torrential rain and storms, they totally lucked out with their warm, sunny July wedding. Coincidentally, we photographed a wedding at Blake Hall a few years ago where the exact same thing happened, so if you’re thinking about marrying at Blake Hall, the weather Gods seem to favour Thursdays at the end of July! Summer wedding at Blake Hall
July is one of our favourite times to work at Blake Hall. The gardens are in full bloom, bursting with life and full of colour. The surrounding fields are golden and the sun sets at the perfect time to kick off the evening celebrations. Another thing that we love about Blake Hall is that we see the same faces each time we work there. It makes everything a real team effort. We all know one another well enough to know how we each work and what we all need to do in order to get the best possible results for the couple we share. Not all venues have permanent staff and and it makes such a difference. The result was a seamless day for Lauren & Sam!
Lauren & Sam’s wedding was everything we love about weddings all rolled in to one. It was relaxed, fun and emotional. There were as many happy tears and there were smiles and we feel so honoured to have been able to capture all these incredible moments for them. To see any couple marry is a joy, but when they’re childhood sweethearts too, that’s the cherry on top!
