In case you’ve blinked recently, here’s a friendly reminder that we’re now in August. August! As you’d expect, it’s one of the busiest months of the year for wedding photographers. 2015 has been no exception for us and has been one of our busiest years to date.
Jenny & Paul were our first wedding this month- setting the benchmark pretty high! It was our first time shooting at Red Brick Barn (Sutton Hall) and we loved it! It perfectly complimented the relaxed, quirky vibe they were going for.
Quirky wedding
From the quirky farmland grounds, (complete with London Underground carriages!) to the seemingly endless fields. From the romantic decor dripping with fairy lights and everything in between, it really was a day to remember. What made it all the more memorable was Jenny and Paul’s fun loving approach to their celebrations. We genuinely love being in their company and they’re a real pleasure to photograph- something we discovered during their engagement shoot. They definitely don’t like to take themselves too seriously and we’ve been counting down to the wedding day ever since!
Things started at home, before moving onto to Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Leigh-on-Sea for the ceremony. An emotional first look beforehand was a lovely, lovely way to begin the journey to the altar and the subsequent journey into married life. With two Nana’s walking hand in hand down the aisle, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.
Rapping bridesmaids
It always helps to have a great crowd too and they couldn’t have picked a better bunch to surround themselves with. Their amazing friends not only provided live entertainment, film and co-ordination duties on the day, but they also sprung surprise after surprise for the newlyweds. If the bridesmaids performing a secret speech/rap wasn’t enough, there were also emotional performances of special songs and a 20 minute Jersey boys set to really kick the evening celebrations off.
It was a truly jam packed, fun filled day and one we’re not likely to forget in a hurry. We hope the photos convey what an awesome day it was!
