Last month we had the absolute honour of photographing the wedding of Jennifer and Steven. If you follow our work, you may know them best as Unique Visuals Wedding Films, as we work with them loads and are forever banging on about how wonderful they are to anyone who’ll listen!
We’ve known and worked alongside Jenny and Steve from the very beginning. We were both establishing our businesses at around the same time, on the back of a recession. I think it’s fair to say that at that point in our careers, none of us really knew where things were heading. But 5 years later here we all are- and I couldn’t be happier or prouder of us all and how far we’ve come.
Throughout the time we’ve known one another we’ve shot together on more occasions than I can recall, we’ve enjoyed more pizza than we should probably admit to, seen engagements, babies and now, finally a wedding!
Jenny and Steve married in Italy. More specifically, they decided to have a Lake Orta wedding. If you’ve not visited Lake Orta before, you must! It’s gorgeous. Everyone we spoke to commented on how they’re already planning their next visit- including us!
The rustic, cobbled streets and simplicity of the place is what makes it so charming. Everyone is friendly and enthusiastic about….well everything! And this is in addition to the scenery. The Lake itself is something else. Warm, crystal clear water set against a mountain backdrop. When you live on the Essex/London border it’s hard to believe places like this exist. As soon as we arrived, we instantly realised why Jenny and Steve had chosen to celebrate their marriage here.
The day itself was more than we ever expected. There aren’t many brides who’d willingly allow you to suspend their wedding dress 30ft in the air above a busy street- so points to Jen for being awesome and celebrating creativity! From beginning to end we were there and we’re so proud to call these guys our friends. They pulled off an incredible day and we’re so lucky to have been a part of it.
It was (and still is) an emotional one for us, so I wont keep you all from the good stuff. Thank you so much to the new Mr & Mrs Breame for allowing us to have been a part of it- and of course to the family and friends who were so welcoming and helped to make the day all that it was.
