It’s been just over a fortnight now since we shot Jade and Lawrence’s Hedingham Castle wedding. It was our second time shooting at Hedingham and it just gets better and better. We are excited to shoot some more weddings there next year!
You may not know the date offhand, but you’ll probably remember the day well. Their wedding just so happened to fall on the same day as the Eclipse! Sadly, it was completely overcast in the morning in Essex. As a result it totally passed us by as we travelled to the venue that morning. Within a couple of hours it had brightened up dramatically and they ended up with the most beautiful spring day.
We arrived nice and early with the ladies so we could make the most the the gorgeous surroundings. Jade put her complete faith in us and allowed us to take her dress (& shoes) outside, which makes all the difference when photographing a wedding dress.
The atmosphere in the morning was lovely- pure excitement all round! In between sandwiches and road trip tunes, hair and make up was done and soon the guys had also arrived.
Before long, it was time for me to leave and make my way to the ceremony room. If you’ve not seen the ceremony room at Hedingham Castle before, it really is something else. With an open fireplace full of candles, and a room that seems to go on forever (mega high ceilings!) it feels truly intimate and romantic. From there, everything feels like it passed by in a bit of a blur, so reliving it all whilst piecing this blog together was a perfect mid-week pick me up.
