Winter wedding at Blake Hall by Staffordshire wedding photographers

Jeff and Joe’s wedding at Blake Hall was certainly one that we’ll never forget! Not only because it was a fantastic day, but also because it’s the only wedding that I have ever genuinely panicked about! Remember all that snow we had at the beginning of March? Well Jeff & Joes wedding was scheduled to take place on March 3rd. At the beginning of the week the snow was non stop. I worried about what may happen if the snow continued as it had in other parts of the country. I worried on their behalf about whether suppliers would be able to make it. We desperately didn’t want anything to hinder their day because they are the loveliest couple. When we met with them a few months back it was like meeting old friends. You can’t help but feel for any couple when something so completely out of their control throws a spanner in the works.

Plan B

When the snow just didn’t seem to be letting up my plan B hat went on. I started making lists of contact details for other suppliers. Just incase. Emergency florist, check. Emergency Cake, check. Pretty much emergency everything! Blake Hall is one of our local wedding venues though, so no matter what we’d have made it there. When you’re so invested in a couples happiness, you can’t help but worry for them though.

Thankfully, the snow did eventually ease off where we are. By the morning of the wedding there was little snow remaining around Blake Hall at all. All the suppliers made it (as far as I know!) and the day turned out to be an absolute blast! It’s pretty fair to say that J&J have got a good bunch around them. It was a lot of fun with the ladies in the morning and the fun and laughter continued throughout the day.
