As a pair of photographers who are based in Staffordshire, it’s always a treat to venture further afield. So when we had an email from the wonderful Katrina regarding a wedding at the William Cecil , we were excited about the possibility of exploring new pastures! And now we’re living in the Midlands ourselves and we hope to return again in the future.
Katrina was planning the wedding of Lucy & Mark. We met them for the first time around a month before their wedding. We’d travelled up to their home to meet them prior to their engagement shoot. We knew then that their wedding was going to be something special. It was so clear how much love they had for one another. When times are stressful due to wedding planning, it’s nice to see a couple so in love.
The wedding day
The day began much like any other, with us arriving for prep coverage. Cool and calm would probably be the best way to describe my time with Lucy. Lucy was even brave enough to iron her wedding dress just minutes before putting it on! That definitely takes nerves of steel.
What they, along with their planner Katrina Otter had managed to achieve with the venue was incredible. Every detail had been considered, planned and styled to perfection. Everything matched, flowed and complimented. The day ran swiftly and smoothly. This resulted in a super chilled day full of good food, good music and happy memories. Here’s just a small peep at how it went.
