Pug wedding in the midlands

Personal post: Wallace dog rescue volunteer project

If you’re here, you probably already know how much Sam & I love dogs. For a while we’ve wanted to use our free time a bit more positively. One of the ways that we’ve decided to do this is by donating our time and where applicable our skills, to good causes. Today, we volunteered our skills at Wallace dog rescue, in Brentwood Essex. We popped along and took some photographs of their current residents to try and help them find loving homes. They were the loveliest group of dogs- so well behaved and full of life. It’s amazing how their personalities still shine through in spite of everything they’ve been through.

When you see how far some of the dogs have come and hear some of the stories about how they’ve ended up in rescue it breaks your heart. Every dog deserves a home where they’ll be loved and looked after. Every dog deserves a home where cuddles and belly tickles are in abundance.

Other ways you can help

If you aren’t able to give a dog a home, there are lots of other ways you can help. Helping can be as simple as sharing rehoming posts on Facebook. The more people who become aware of these lovely pups, the more likely it is that they will find the perfect home. If you’re in a position to donate, rehoming centres can always to with financial donations too. All the details you need, you’ll be able to find on the Wallace website.

Can you give a dog a home?

Here are some of the beautiful dogs we met today. If you feel that you may be able to offer a home to one of them, contact Wallace directly. You can find their website linked above and their contact details are included below.
