Swallows Nest Barn wedding by Staffordshire wedding photographers Sam & Louise

Kerrie & Dan's Swallows nest barn wedding was a photographers dream! They had planned their day with so many beautiful details that it was hard to know where to begin. We were literally spoilt for choice! Between the stunning florals and the beautiful cake, rustic signage and the incredible venue itself there wasn't much not to like.

As with many things, Covid threw a total spanner in the works for Kerrie & Dan's wedding plans. Originally set to marry in September 2021, it wasn't until September 2021 that we finally got to meet them and they finally got to say "I do". They'd originally booked us to photograph their wedding in September 2018, so it really had been a long time coming. I'm sure they'll agree, but it was most definitely worth the wait.

Seeing everything finally come together for them was magic. The playful interruptions during prep kept things light hearted and fun in the build up to the ceremony, with outdoor garden games keeping little fingers busy.

You'll be hard pushed to find a ceremony room more striking than the one at Swallows nest barn. It's the perfect mix of modern but classic, with plenty of charm and rustic details. The floor to ceiling windows on either side make it light and fresh, whilst the intricate brickwork gives it depth. It's easy to see why Kerrie & Dan fell in love with the place. A heartfelt and emotional ceremony was followed by a day of fun and laughter, with just the right amount of carnage come the evening. For us, we always know were on to a winner when the first dance song is one by Bring me the Horizon!
