As someone who’s been a bride myself, I can confirm that the general consensus is that your wedding day is all about YOU. Every question in the lead up to the day, every decision, every crisis usually falls on you. Because for some reason, your opinion seems to matter the most. The wedding industry is still incredibly bride-centric….and a lot of the time it shows. Marketing, hashtags, wedding shows can so often be bride, bride, bride. So this post is not about brides. It’s not even about grooms. In fact, it’s not about you guys at all. Step aside brides. Step aside grooms, this ones for the guests.
As much as I adore our couples, one of the things that I love the most about weddings are the guests. When you get a great crowd, time disappears. There are so many fun, spontaneous and emotive moments that occur outside of the couple directly. It’s not unusual that these moments end up being some of my very favourite images ever. And I love that our couples get to enjoy these photos of the people they love most in the world.
So here are some of our favourite guest shots.
OK, so maybe don’t step aside brides or grooms, but we do love guest photos! The beauty of having two wedding photographers is that there’s lots more time to capture all these moments, often with one photographer dedicated to candids. So if you’ve not considered hiring a wedding photography team for your wedding, it might be worth thinking about if you’d like lots of coverage of your guests. You can find out more about in our blog about why you might consider having two photographers at your wedding.
