Somehow it feels like forever ago that we shot Harriet and Adam’s rustic tipi wedding. In reality, it was just 7 weeks ago! We’ve had such a jam packed summer and been on the road so often that this is the first time we’re really getting the chance to sit down and take it all in. You may remember Adam & Harriet from a couple of their engagement shoot teasers that we posted on Instagram last Autumn. We knew from that session that their day was going to be great fun- we weren’t wrong! From the moment we arrived I don’t think Harriet stopped smiling, which is always a beautiful thing to see as a photographer. In spite of some intermittent showers, the day went off without a hitch and guests were able to spend the majority of the day outside playing games and admiring the magnificent tipis!
Personal touches for Harriet & Adam’s rustic tipi wedding
There were so many unique and well thought out details too. The repurposing of a wooden pallet and some vintage teacups were the perfect addition to the rustic, informal vibe. The teacups in particular were in good keeping with the Afternoon tea (which was delicious!) and went down a treat! The band also proved to be popular in the evening, the dance floor never seemed to be empty! Which is always a great sign for a good night ahead!
We think you’ll agree what a fantastic job Harriet, Adam and their loved ones did at pulling this one off. A DIY Tipi wedding is never an easy task to take on. The many personal touches surely required a lot of time and personal investment to make everything perfect and we think they pulled it off expertly!
