Working at a new wedding venue is always exciting as a wedding photographer. Particularly when you’ve been photographing weddings for more than a decade like we have. It’s not too often we’re afforded the luxury of working somewhere for the first time- less so when it’s somewhere as stunningly beautiful as Dodford Manor. As soon as we arrived, we could see immediately why Chris and Sarah had chosen to marry here. The rolling hill views, impeccably kept grounds and intimate feel alone were enough. What we loved so much was the mesh of modern and traditional. Stunning traditional stones, mixed with modern, open and light rooms thanks to doors and walls of glass. Chris and Sarah’s real wedding at Dodford Manor was certainly one to remember!
A real wedding at Dodford Manor
In true August fashion, there was no chance of truly perfect weather- although we definitely all got off lightly! The wind played havoc at various points, confining the group photographs to indoors (because no one wants that permanently windswept look!) In turn though, it made for some comical images during the drinks reception! A bit of wind was a small price to pay for the glorious golden light we had later in the evening though, so mother nature, all is forgiven!
We hope you enjoy this brief snapshot of Chris and Sarahs wedding at Dodford Manor. We look forward to hopefully returning again soon!
