When Rachel & James got in touch with us about their wedding at the Hurt Arms in Ambergate, Derbyshire we'd only recently moved into the area. It was exciting to be receiving enquiries close to our new home, not least because it looked like an amazing, quirky place to host a wedding! Little did we know at the time that we'd end up stumbling upon their wedding venue many times in the months that followed as we began to explore the peaks and our new surroundings.
When their day finally arrived the sun shone and we couldn't have asked for a nicer day for a nicer couple. James & Rachel were so relaxed and warm from the moment they arrived to the moment we waved goodbye at the end of the evening. The smiles didn't stop and it was such a joy to gain a little glimpse into the wonderful relationship they have. After so many years together, you could see how much it meant to them both to finally be married. There was so much joy in the air!
Wedding at the Hurt Arms, Ambergate
We loved everything about the Hurt Arms in Ambergate and it's the perfect setting for a wedding. Particularly if you're seeking somewhere intimate and stylish. There are quirky details galore! If you favour a little rustic and industrial charm over the classic white wedding chic, this could be the place for you. Rachel & James totally had that vibe and ran with it. Their details screamed personal and were both unique and meaningful to them. From the illustrations of their cats to the photo booth props (also of the cats) down to the postbox and more.
Their choice of attire also complimented both their personalities and the venue. Rachels shoes were a definite first for us! It's not often you see a bride styling out flats featuring burgers and fries. We loved them!
Here are just a few teasers from their wedding whilst we work on the full gallery. Check back soon for a full insight into their day and everything we loved about their wedding!
