It’s been just over 3 years since Holly & Dominick first got in touch with us about their wedding at the Marks Hall Estate. So it feels like this post really has been a long time coming. It was SO nice to finally meet this wonderful pair and finally see them get married. When Holly first contacted us we spoke about the fact that she’d done some photography work herself, so there’s always that bit more pressure when you’re shooting for someone who’s also a creative. As much as you always do your very best for every couple, it’s nice to feel you’ve met someones vision and expectations.
Lord of the Rings and Seahawks wedding
There were so many things that we loved about Holly & Dominick’s day. There were countless unique touches for start! From the Lord of the Rings references and a very personal ring exchange to a father of the brides speech that had everyone captivated. It didn’t just include the usual sentimental stories and thank you’s, this was an M&S Father of the Bride speech! It included a message from a Seahawks player and even a podcast recorded in their honour.
What we also loved about their day was that they threw tradition to the wind in many ways. They chose such a sweet song for their first dance- (Rainbow connection from the Muppets) which they held outside. The fact that it started to rain half way through only made things more intimate and memorable. Cue hero dad coming to the rescue with an umbrella!
