This was our first time shooting a Hockering House wedding. What a fantastic venue for a wedding in Norfolk!
We should have known that it was going to be something special right from the off as Aaron is actually a photographer himself. So not only did these guys pick a whopper of a venue, but they’d also thought of everything too! Crepés, ice lollies, a flower wall, magician, games and plenty more besides. There were so many great details to keep guests entertained throughout the day.
Hockering House was the perfect backdrop to their laid back, informal wedding reception. Having Sam on hand to coordinate made it all possible. She was wonderful and did not stop all day. Coordinators are the sort of thing you take for granted, until you have a bad one or you don’t have one at all. But Sam was there, in the background ensuring everything was progressing as it should. (To be clear, this was not our Sam. Our Sam is just a little bit more beardy!)
If the awesome reception hadn’t been enough, they’d also married in style at Wymondham Abbey beforehand. It was everything you imagine a church ceremony to be. Grand, beautiful and personal.
Working with these guys was a dream. They were so relaxed, so happy and so enthusiastic all day. If there was a spot of great light, off we went. We couldn’t have asked for more.
