How have we ended up in May already? Wasn’t it Christmas about 2 weeks ago? It sure feels like it! But one good thing about being so far into the year already is that Lucy and James’ Down Hall, wedding finally arrived!

It was quite a way to kick off the month and was such a memorable day for so many reasons. When we first met Lucy and James at their home way back at the beginning of 2014 we were literally in awe of the place. It’s gorgeous. The first thing we said when we walked in was how amazing the huuuuge sprial staircase would be for a dress shot and there we were a year and a half later photographing it for real! Not to mention the amazing atmosphere. No one gets a crowd pumped at a Down Hall wedding like resident toastmaster Mark. He’s a one off that’s for sure!

And then of course there were the surprises- their super cute girl arriving at the church to congratulate her mum and dad, the choir during speeches singing the most perfect song and so much more besides. The biggest surprise of all though has to be what James does for a living according to his best man! Take a scroll through the pictures, you’ll be just as surprised as we were.
