Last month, Hattie & Adam married at the beautiful, charming, Bruisyard Hall in Suffolk. If you’ve not visited Bruisyard hall before, you may find yourself feeling panicked towards the end of the journey. Especially if you’re a wedding photographer with a schedule to keep. “Has the sat nav taken us the wrong way?” “Why are we in the middle of nowhere?” “Is this road even wide enough for a car?” “Are we going to end up in the middle of a field?”

All genuine thoughts we had on the way to the venue in the morning.

Questionable weather at Bruisyard Hall

Luckily, this wasn’t our first rodeo, so we arrived an hour earlier than planned! Bruisyard Hall is a gorgeous, gorgeous venue though, so we were raring to get started as soon as we arrived. We began by scouting out the venue, having a look at the ceremony set up and praying the rain would hold off.

We weren’t quite so lucky with the weather but the registrars were fantastic. They even allowed for a slight delay to the ceremony start time to try and help Hattie avoid the rain. Sadly, even with the delayed start the rain didn’t stop. But every cloud has a silver lining and it made for a lovely, cosy atmosphere with us all hanging on every word. As the day progressed the sun did pop it’s head out and we were all free to enjoy and explore the grounds.

Letting the photos do the talking

I think it’s about time I let the photos do the rest of the talking. We just wanted to take this chance to thank Hattie and Adam for having us. It was great working with such a lovely couple and we look forward to returning to Bruisyard Hall soon.
