Blake Hall is always one of our favourite venues to work at. Since we first shot there a few years ago it’s just got better and better. So when C&A got in touch with us regarding their wedding at Blake Hall we really hoped that they’d want to book their date with us! Thankfully they did. And from there, the wedding countdown was on.
Just over a year later their day finally arrived. After a week of horrendous weather it felt like a bit of a miracle when we work up to dry pavements and blue skies. And the beautiful weather only continued throughout the day.
Wedding ceremony at Waltham Abbey
I spent a fun filled morning with Claire and her girls getting ready in the stunning bridal cottage. Before long it was time to head onto Waltham Abbey for the wedding ceremony. This was somewhere truly sentimental to the couple having also hosted other family events there. Aside from a bit of traffic on the way there, things went off without a hitch- it was nothing that a traffic conducting vicar couldn’t fix!
The rest of the day was spent at Blake Hall, eating, drinking and enjoying one anothers company. It was nice to see a familiar face in Steve Hearn who provided caricatures for guests during the drinks reception too.
