Happy couple smile on their wedding day in the Midlands

A winter wedding at Gaynes Park by Sam and Louise photography

When Abigail & Gary first got in touch with us way back in summer 2016, I knew right away that their wedding was going to be one that we would love to shoot. There was so much detail in the initial email and Abigail spoke about her creative nature…it all seemed a little too good to be true. We aren’t by any means strangers to winter weddings at Gaynes park either. In fact, we shoot far more winter weddings there than summer ones! We know that it’s always a great, cosy atmosphere there at this time of year, so we were excited from the get go!

Then they actually booked and the countdown began! It’s been a long (but weirdly quick!?) 16 months waiting to meet these two and see how all the little bits and pieces of their plans have come together.

We met with them both last month for their pre wedding shoot and this only confirmed everything we’d hoped- that these two were in fact awesome and their day was definitely going to be one to remember. And not just because of the cookies. Even if i’m writing this whilst clock watching so I can hit the nearest Lidl as soon as it hits 11am. Cookie binge incoming!

A winter wedding and a half!

It’s been so so lovely chatting with Abigail over the last couple of months. I know I shouldn’t have favourites, but she’s up there with the best of them. To see everything come together for her and Gary was a dream.

Thank you to everyone involved for making it such an incredible day to be part of. We had the best time and felt so welcomed by everyone.

Please feel free to leave your comments for us or Abigail & Gary at the end of this post, or of course on the original Facebook post. You can also keep up with us and our work over on social media.
