Gemma and Liam's wedding was our first time working at Willow Marsh farm and what an incredible and unique venue it is! If you're not familiar with weddings at Willow Marsh farm, the venue is like something from small town America. Large cobbled stone buildings, dark wood and brick make you feel like you've stepped into another world almost. It is immaculately kept inside with an undeniable attention to detail. Although it can accommodate a large number of guests, it feels intimate and cosy. Even in the height of summer it's the kind of place where you can imagine tucking up under a blanket in front of the fire. The contrast of this with the elegance of a wedding works beautifully. It's easy to see why Gemma and Liam fell in love with with the venue and chose to host their wedding at Willow Marsh farm.
Aside from the venue being a fantastic backdrop, Liam and Gemma went out of their way to ensure their guests were thoroughly entertained all day and long into the evening. They had a range of quirky outdoor garden games, musical entertainment and so much more. The flower wall provided a wonderful backdrop for guests to snap their own photos for example. Come the evening, the 360 degree photobooth made for some hilarious video clips as well. We can only image the comedy gold that threw up when watching all the clips back after the wedding! This was something different for us too as we've never actually seen one in action before!
But the 360 degree booth wasn't the only first for us. Gemma had also got a secret tattoo for Liam ahead of the big day. How she had managed to keep it a secret in the weeks leading up to the wedding is beyond me, but it definitely must have taken some skill and dedication. Check out photos further down to see the new tattoo!
The day flew past in some what of a blur as there was always something going on. We love it when we come away from a wedding feeling like we've not stopped as it's always a sure sign of a good day!
Feel free to leave your comments for Gemma and Liam (or for us!) at the end of this post. We hope you enjoy this brief snapshot of their day.
