I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to Louise and Sam’s wedding at the Asylum, followed by their reception at Kachette.
We knew their day was going to be something special when they got in touch just over a year ago. Aside from sharing names (one of life’s spooky signs!) initial emails discussed Alex Mac! Louise expressed wanting a fairly non-traditional, spontaneous kind of wedding too. Conveniently those were exactly the kind of weddings we love to shoot! We also knew that a wedding at the Asylum London would more than deliver the vibe they were going for.
As planning progressed, we got ever more excited. Their day turned out to be one in a million. From the quirky details like Louise’s succulent flower crown, to the rainbow bridesmaid dresses. From the street food truck and an incredible first look! We were kept on our toes all day and we loved every minute of it.
After a couple of hours with Louise and Sam for prep, they opted for a first look. It was now that Sam surprised his bride to be with a trip to Budapest! They then made their way to their reception venue together. This was a great opportunity for a few couples photos before the madness of the wedding day really began.
After returning to the hotel, where loved ones were applying finishing touches to hair and makeup, they once again went their separate ways and prepared for their ceremony at the Asylum. By this time, the star of the show, the beautiful flower girl was also ready, which meant it was time to leave!
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks outside before hopping on a Routemaster to Kachette. This is where the party really began! With drinks and street food flowing, some serious shapes started making an appearance on the dancefloor. I’ve no doubt that continued long into the night too!
We had such a brilliant memorable day and we’re so pleased we got to share it with so many lovely people!
Here is just a small snippet of their ginormous gallery. We hope you love the photos as much as we enjoyed taking them. Please feel free to share or leave your comments for the couple below!
