Earlier this year we had the opportunity to shoot at a brand new wedding venue. And not just new to us, but new new. We were lucky enough to photograph the very first real wedding there for Eleanor & Andy. The Gasworks is a wedding venue in Staffordshire that’s quirky and ideal for couples who are looking for something a bit different to a traditional wedding venue.
Wedding venue in Staffordshire
If you’re planning a wedding and you’re looking for a wedding venue in Staffordshire that’s going to be memorable for all the right reasons, we’d recommend checking out the Gasworks. (We also have lots of other beautiful wedding venues in Staffordshire and across the Midlands showcased on the rest of our blog)
Eleanor & Andy were the perfect couple to work with too. Kind, warm and fun. They chose to have their couples photographs at Croxden Abbey, which made for a gorgeous backdrop. For the sake of transparency, and in order to protect this beautiful, historical location, it’s worth mentioning that Croxden Abbey is an English Heritage site. Therefore special permission must be sought in order to take professional photos there and typically a donation to English Heritage, or a commercial fee would be due, if permission is granted. Permission must be sought in advance. If you too are considering professional photos at a historical landmark such as those owned by English heritage, be sure to check out and respect the rules of the site. Eleanor and Andy did obtain special permission and we’re so pleased it was granted as the location is stunning.
Here are a few snippets from their day at The Gasworks and Croxden Abbey.
