Our job has always been so much more to us than just a job. It’s taken us to far away places, introduced us to familiar faces and provided us with once in a lifetime opportunities. We’re memory makers, creatives and shoulders to cry on all rolled into one. Sometimes all on the same day! Thankfully, the only tears last week for Jenny and Antony’s day were tears of joy.
When we were asked to shoot their wedding, not only was it an honour, but a privilege too. It was always going to be extra special to us because we’ve actually crossed paths with J&A before. Once upon a time, Ant and I went to college together, whilst Jenny was the friend of a friend. Somewhere along the way, their paths crossed and here we are a decade later blogging their wedding. Funny how things turn out sometimes isn’t it?
I’m not really sure where to begin with this one because I could go on forever about how incredibly gorgeous everything was. I went from subtly wiping away tears during prep, to smiling so hard my face ached, back to wiping away tears again. There were so many highs and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day.
Just one of the many highlights was witnessing J&As marriage being blessed whilst guests shared their words of support and love. It was very humbling to see how deeply they are cared for by everyone who was in the room that day. This blessing was followed by a very intimate, very romantic first dance. Totally unplanned, but totally mesmerising. The room may have been small, but the atmosphere was something I’ll never forget.
In silence aside from one man and his guitar J&A took their first dance as man and wife as Ed Sheeran sang a very personal “Thinking out Loud” and “I can’t help falling in Love” mash up. We can’t wait to see the film by Moments wedding videography.
What followed was a night of drinks and dancing at their venue. Here is just a very small snippet of their day. We can’t wait to share more from this wedding soon. We hope you love the photos as much as we enjoyed taking them.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the day. Friends and family of Jenny and Antony, you were all a joy! Thank you for chatting to us, looking after us and making us feel welcome. Please feel free to leave your comments for the new Mr & Mrs below. You can also comment and share the Facebook post directly if you prefer. You can find our Facebook page here.
