Megan and Joshua's engagement shoot in Derbyshire was one to remember. It was our first engagement shoot of the year and a fantastic way for us to kick things off. It just so happened to fall on a beautiful, warm, sunny day- something we've not seen too much of lately around these parts. They'd also chosen (what turned out to be) the perfect location too, which always helps. There was so much variation in the landscape and so many places to explore. This is exactly what you want for an engagement shoot. When considering where to have your engagement shoot in Derbyshire or elsewhere, don't be tempted to opt for somewhere with just one standout feature (such as a lake) unless it has sentimental value. Otherwise you may find that you exhaust many of your options quickly. Engagement shoots are best when you can relax and take your time to wander, chat and get to know your photographer.
Megan and Joshua's engagement shoot was even more special as this was second time lucky. Previously their session had been due to take place in the Autumn. Sadly however things were rained off and it had to be rescheduled. Thankfully, I think it all worked out for the best and we are now SO looking forward to their wedding later in the summer.
